Dan Batley

Dan specialises in project managing, drafting, and editing policy papers, regulatory submissions and proposal documents to government, regulators, and public authorities.

 

He helps clients exert influence, win funding, and secure approvals by:

• Defining engagement objectives, strategy and argumentation.

• Project managing input from technical, economic, legal and commercial subject matter experts.

• Ensuring written submissions are persuasive, logical, and clearly worded. 

 

Additionally, Dan has extensive experience building relationships with regulators, government departments and industry bodies. He owned Camelot’s relationship with the National Lottery regulator.

 

Examples of his work in this area include:

• Project managing Three’s extensive submissions to Ofcom on spectrum auction design and competition concerns.

• Translating UK and EU telecoms laws and regulations into project requirements for an enterprise wide digital transformation.

• Leading regulatory engagement and gaining approval for a significant change to the flagship National Lottery game.

 

Dan is also an experienced spectrum auction bid manager. He managed Three’s 4G and 5G auction preparations, and ran the bid rooms.
